GWCFC Background

George Washington Carver Freshman Campus houses all the freshmen/9th graders in Coffee County and is located at the south end of Douglas, Georgia.  The campus was originally Carver School grades 1st – 12th.  Later it was Coffee Junior High, then the Junior High was split into two middle schools.  This campus became East Coffee Middle School housing grades 6th – 8th.  In the Fall of 2007 it acquired the current name of Coffee High School Freshmen Campus, an extension of Coffee High School.  The name was later changed to the current name of George Washington Carver Freshman Campus.
