On November 8th, students at GWCFC were provided with the unique opportunity to walk around the school’s gymnasium and talk to veterans in celebration of Veteran’s day. Teachers were able to sign students up to go through it during fourth period. Students were able to move from booth to booth to visit and see memorabilia each veteran brought to show. Many of the veterans told students stories and all about what their life was like during their time of service.

GWCFC’s own veterans Carla Jones, Chris Papierz, Debra Woods, Sgt. Major Pangborn, and Michael Willingham also set up tables to talk to the students about their times of service. Students were also able to learn more about what the service of protecting our country is really like. GWCFC student A.J Franklin states , “ It  really changed the way I see veterans”.Many students also took pictures with the veterans and enjoyed talking and celebrating the holiday with them. The museum not only benefited the students, but also celebrated the veterans and brought generations together to commemorate their service to our country.
